Hrithik Roshan the first choice for The Burning Train remake?
Hrithik Roshan was last seen in War; which collected over Rs 315 crore at the box office.
In the last month; we saw Juno Chopra and Jackky Bhagnani announcing their collaboration for the remake of the ''1980 ''multi-starrer; The Burning Train- While the star cast of the remake has not to been locked and we are wondering that which actor; will step in the shoes of Jeetendra; Dharmendra and Vinod Khanna; the latest report suggests that the makers are approaching Hrithik Roshan for one of the leads.
As per the Filmfare report; a source said, “Juno and Jackky have decided to approach Hrithik Roshan for the remake- They are keen to have him on board as they feel that he will take this film to another level- The film's planning was in full progress but due to the corona pandemic; the project is now on a standstill. As soon as the lockdown is removed; the producers will have a meeting with Hrithik Roshan.”
Talking about the film; Jackky earlier told Mumbai Mirror; It’s classic Bollywood and I’m thrilled to be working with my friend Juno to recreate the magic that Ravi Chopra sir had 40 years ago. It has its heart at the right place and we are all set to give it our all. We will be finalizing the cast soon. The modern adaptation will be set in a train itself and will have a new twist.” Juno Chopra expressed his excitement about this remake as he had said; “I remember my dad had gone to Los Angeles for the ''VFX'' which back then, was way ahead of its time. I was blown away by his vision and I am excited to make my own version of the film. Currently; we are on the verge of signing the director.” While the film was a disaster during its release, it would be interesting how the new version performs among the audience.
